Intercax is excited to announce the release on June 1, 2026 of Syndeia Release 3.7.1. Service packs like 3.7.1 give us a chance to incorporate ongoing improvements to Syndeia driven by real-world customer requirements, as well as expanding documentation, fixing bugs, and updating integrations. You can find a complete list of improvements here, but we’ll describe a few of the more notable below.

Repo-Specific Color Coding

In some cases, users need to connect multiple repositories of the same types, e.g. multiple Teamwork Clouds or Teamcenters, in a single digital thread. While visualizations such as the Digital Thread Explorer have allowed different repository types to be custom color-coded in the Syndeia Web Dashboard, 3.7.1 allows different repositories of the same type to be distinguished, making the digital threads easier to interpret visually.

Windchill Tree Views

Syndeia 3.7.1 includes significant improvements to the Windchill tree view in the Syndeia Web Dashboard, expanding the information immediately available:

  • View the Version and Version History of each part
  • View Uses and Occurrence relations separately under each part
  • View Described By, References and Related CAD Docs (EPM docs) associated with each part

Authentication and Authorization

Intercax continues to make it easier for Syndeia users to secure their digital environments

  • Syndeia clients, e.g. the Cameo plugin, can now connect to Syndeia Cloud through OAuth2
  • Documentation for use of MS Entra has been added
  • Syndeia 3.7.1 deployments use Cassandra 4.1.9 as the default version instead of Cassandra 4.1.0, to leverage security improvements in Cassandra 4.1.9.

API Updates

As our technology partners release new versions of their engineering software tools, Intercax updates our API connections to those tools to keep our users current. 3.7.1 incorporates changes in APIs for Bitbucket, Codebeamer, JIRA, Rhapsody, Teamwork Cloud and Volta. The full integration compatibility matrix is available at here.

Cookbooks

To enable Syndeia users to exploit the possibilities of the digital thread more easily, Intercax supplies sample code in the form of “cookbooks” of Jupyter notebooks and Airflow digital pipelines. 3.7.1 adds seven new notebooks and ten new pipelines involving Jama, Codebeamer, TestRail, SysML v2, TWC and other widely-used tools.

Deployment

Ansible playbook and containerized deployment features were introduced in Syndeia 3.7. The new service pack includes instructions for upgrading those deployments from 3.7 to 3.7.1.

Syndeia is a robust digital thread platform meeting and resolving challenges in a wide range of real-world deployments and undergoing constant improvements, which we share with our subscribers in these releases. Questions and suggestions for the next service pack are welcome on our on-line helpdesk at www.intercax.com/help.
