Intercax is excited to launch a new self-paced training series designed to accelerate your journey into Digital Engineering: Building Digital Threads with Syndeia™. The new fast-track course includes the latest training material condensed to ten 10-minute videos.
The greatest challenge to introducing Digital Engineering is changing the culture, a challenge made more urgent by top-down mandates such as DoD Instruction 5000.97. Intercax, since our beginnings, has responded to that challenge with better, more accessible education on what is possible, based on real examples, and what will be possible in the near future. The new course makes DE more accessible to more people faster.
Syndeia™ from Intercax is an API-first digital thread platform, enabling engineering teams to collaboratively and concurrently develop complex system/product by federating models and data from diverse ecosystems of engineering software tools. Digital threads woven by Syndeia are scalable, secure, vendor-neutral, and enterprise-ready.
Rather than a website of vague descriptions and promises, Intercax makes available 200+ video demos and hands-on tutorials at no charge, covering every aspect of Syndeia’s current capabilities. A live, on-line training sequence of six classes of 1-2 hours each is offered several times a year to Syndeia’s existing and potential users.
The new fast-track series is a distillation of the latest training material from the live on-line classes, condensed to less than two hours total. Potential users can see the full range of Syndeia’s capabilities in action in less than two hours. The course is intended for
- Syndeia evaluators needing a quick, on-demand overview,
- Serious users preparing for a deeper dive into the full training database, and
- New users that need to come up to speed quickly at organizations where Syndeia is already in place.

The ten 10-minute videos series includes the following parts:
Part 01 : What is a Digital Thread?
Summary: We discuss the meaning of the term, the various technological approaches being applied and the benefits driving adoption.

Part 02 : Introduction to Syndeia
Summary: We provide an overview of the architecture of Syndeia, a digital thread platform and a quick tour of the out-of-the box user interfaces supplied by Intercax.
Part 03 : Building Threads by Model Transform
Summary: Model transform digital links allow users to share, compare and update data between a wide range of model repositories

Part 04 : Building Threads by Reference
Summary: Reference digital links maintain version-sensitive traceability and easy navigation between model repositories
Part 05 : Analyzing Digital Thread Data
Summary: Syndeia’s common data model provides flexible mapping between external repositories and a common query format applicable to heterogenous models in the integrated environment.

Part 06 : Analyzing Digital Thread Relations
Summary: Syndeia manages inter-model relations in a configuration-managed graph database. Baselines and highly efficient graph queries can be defined and saved as part of a project.
Part 07 : Analyzing Digital Thread Artifacts
Summary: The Syndeia web browser client can access data in the underlying repositories via the Syndeia Cloud REST API, reporting on artifact attributes and intra-model relations that are part of a digital thread project.

Part 08 : Using the Syndeia REST API
Summary: The open, fully documented Syndeia REST API allows for the creation of customized interfaces on a variety of data science and business analytics platforms. Examples using Jupyter Notebooks are examined.
Part 09 : Reporting Project Metrics
Summary: A custom notebook to calculate digital thread metrics such as activity, completeness and consistency is reviewed in detail. It uses a combination of calls to the Syndeia graph and the underlying repositories to synthesize a holistic view of project status.

Part 10 : The Future of Digital Threads
Summary: A single API that gives efficient and organized access to all system data enables effective application of digital pipeline and agentic AI applications to digital engineering. Examples are demonstrated.
